Introduction to Image Processing and OPENCV

Today I'm going introduce about image processing and also OPENCV.




People are like having automated things to ease their busy life.  As examples automated doors, automated car driving, home automation systems, automated gates ect.  Image processing which develops rapidly is the very fundamental of automation.   

Actually what’s image processing?? What do you think? Most of the students think image processing is hard to program. Yes, it is difficult unless you try it. Actually nothing is impossible unless you try it.

What is your idea about image processing? Is it difficult? But you still want to learn it? Then this the place you can self-learn image processing for both platforms windows and linux (ubuntu).

What is an image processing?

Image processing is a process that converting image into a binary or simply to a digital image first and then make any operations on it. Image processing system includes two dimensional signals applying methods. 

Image processing can be done using OPENCV library or MATLAB. From this tutorial you will get familiar with the OPENCV library for the ease of beginners. 

What is OPENCV?

OPENCV is a computer vision library which is also an open source. The library is written in C and C++ which runs on Linux, Windows and as well as on MAC OS X. OPENCV is the easiest way for image processing and it is more efficient. In fact OPENCV is a collection of inbuilt image processing functions.

This tutorial will guide you from the very beginning in image processing concepts and procedure with illustrations.
